You know you're in for a ride when your partner's mother starts treating you like you're the problem when she so clearly is. Not only is this MIL trying to ride the coattails of her son's finances, but she makes it known that she refuses to acknowledge this woman or their baby as family members in need. This MIL is likely a good amount older than her son, so why is she still relying on her kid to make ends meet? He has a wife and a baby now, which take the top priority spot in my opinion…
The Facebook thing? I'm at a loss for words. To gossip not only about your son's wife, but their baby is insane behavior.

Woman stands up for herself when MIL trash-talks her and thinks she's entitled to holding her baby: ‘[She] talks about my baby and me on Facebook’
Getting along with your in-laws might be a bit difficult when they're constantly out to get you for no good reason. Sure, some people just don't get along. But to make someone's life a living nightmare because they have an issue with their child growing up? Absurd. Stick with me.
We all know the common cliché. A mother who is so obsessed with her son that she refuses to accept any lady he lets into his life. You can never tell if she might actually be in love with him or not (in that case, RUN) but it's usually out of plain jealousy without all the weird stuff.
The woman who posted this story got locked into a whirlwind romance with her current husband. Though they might have moved quicker than what is considered conventional, they're happy and have a beautiful baby! The downside: her MIL. This MIL blames the woman for her husband not providing financial assistance to her or other family members any longer. At what point does one have to grow up? Her son has, but will she? After Facebook gossip and a failed attempt to hold her grandkid, this MIL is learning an important lesson: Treat others the way you want to be treated.
